Celebrate Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club's transformation from 6-8 p.m. tonight (Jan 19) during the club’s “Revealed” soiree. The grand unveiling will showcase an elegant “white” theme. Guests are encouraged to wear white apparel (yes, socks count) to partake in an Effen White-hosted bar, accompanied by complimentary passed appetizers featuring dishes from chef Mark Kasper’s new winter menu.
After more than nine years as a wildly popular Lakeview destination, Kit Kat has gotten a fashionable facelift. Because as any diva knows, it pays to keep up appearances.
Envisioned by David Kaufman and Tom Segal, the reincarnated Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club will flaunt a glamorous South Beach-meets-Hollywood vibe while retaining elements that the club’s loyal clientele know and love. The sleek, contemporary surroundings will feature a dramatic black-and-white color scheme, including a wow-worthy damask fabric covering the ceiling.
Additional design highlights include a mosaic flooring detail made of highly polished black tiles, a new black bar top embedded with mirrored chips that play of off Kit Kat’s numerous disco balls hanging overhead, color-changing cove lighting used throughout the space and completely redone bathrooms boasting a fun animal-print wallpaper.
Lady Gaga returned to the stage Friday morning just hours after an illness forced her to cancel a show at Purdue University.
"Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular - a result of exhaustion and dehydration," Gaga told fans on Twitter. (Follow ChicagoPride.com on Twitter @gaychicago)
The 23-year-old Gaga appeared on "Oprah Fridays Live" show which also featured "Avatar" director James Cameron.
Here's an excerpt from the live show...
WINFREY: So tell me, what would people be most surprised to know about you?
GAGA: Most surprised to know about me. Oh, okay. I can tell you.
WINFREY: Okay.
GAGA: Oprah had a surprise for me. She had Art Smith, a chef, come and cook for me today, this morning. And I'm the hugest fan and secretly a wannabe-foodie and I love to cook. So that's something that people don't know. I'm such a huge fan. He made me chicken and waffles this morning.
WINFREY: Chicken and waffles. I came in the kitchen this morning. There is fried chicken everywhere.
GAGA: Everywhere, it was amazing.
WINFREY: And I said, you were eating--have you eaten fried chicken already this morning?
GAGA: Yes. But it was so--I mean, I always have very trying weeks in terms of my physical schedule. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, I'm just like, oh, gosh, I need to find my soul and he just gave me some soul this morning. I said I've got soul for Oprah today.
WINFREY: Thank you, Art. Art Smith made breakfast for Gaga.

Adam Lambert, who recently debuted his chart topping album For Your Entertainment, landed in Chicago on Tuesday (January 12) to tape an episode with Oprah Winfrey.
Adam tweeted Tuesday from the Harpo Studios' green room. "Excited to meet her," he wrote. "Watch the show on Tuesday, Jan 19th."
After taping the show, Adam hit Boystown Chicago. That's where ChicagoPride.com photographer Anthony Meade spotted Adam at Roscoes' for "Drag Race" hosted by Frida Lay.
The 27-year-old skyrocketed to popularity in 2009 after appearing on "American Idol." Adam's new "Whataya Want From Me" video premieres on Friday.
And on Friday, 2009's biggest star, Lady GaGa, will perform live on Oprah. Will we see GaGa in Boystown?
