Please join Center on Halsted for the first in a series of food and wine programs that introduces LGBT community to enticing food and drink at inviting locations throughout the city! Date: August 31, 2004, 6 - 8 p.m. Cost: $20.00 Location: Joie DeVine 1744 W. Balmoral,Chicago, IL 60640 (Balmoral & Ravenswood, near Andersonville) Sleek with contemporary art and custom fixtures, but comfortably tucked in its original local storefront, Joie DeVine is an intimate gathering place offering a variety of wines at its fully stocked bar, along with a unique variety of cheeses that entice the palate and mingle well with wine. This event will introduce novices, while pleasing experts, to a selection of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wines. A presentation will be made about each followed with a tasting.
