Reeling Opening Night: D.E.B.S.

Thursday, November 4, 2004
6:30 PM

Music Box Theatre  (Map it)
3733 N Southport
Chicago, IL 60613

The Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival kicks off.

Reeling is proud to open with the hugely popular, audience-pleasing D.E.B.S., the funny, sexy first feature by Angela Robinson. This girl-power spy spoof follows the adventures of a group of ultra-sexy secret agents who have more than saving the world on their minds. There’s Max (Meagan Good), their determined leader; Janet (Jill Ritchie), who cares less about accomplishing missions than she does about impressing Max; Dominique (Devon Aoki), a French chain-smoker who tears through lovers with abandon; and Amy (Sara Foster), whose child-like looks are very deceiving. Their enemy? International criminal mastermind and super vixen Lucy Diamond, who shocks the D.E.B.S. by capturing Amy in order to seduce her. D.E.B.S. is fast and furious and never takes itself too seriously. Also featuring Holland Taylor (Legally Blonde) as the Headmistress and The Green Mile’s Michael Clarke Duncan as the President of the D.E.B.S. Academy. D.E.B.S. adds up to a rollicking good time that helps launch this year’s fest in sexy schoolgirl style. 35mm, 90 min.

6:30 – 7:30 pm: Festival Kick-off Reception hosted by Pink Pages in the lobby of the Music Box Theatre
7:30 pm: Screening of D.E.B.S.
9:30 pm – 12:00 am: After-Screening Party at Izzo/Jones Arena + Studio for the Arts, 1806 W. Cuyler
