Mamma Mia

Chicago, IL 60601

Back by popular demand, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, returns to Chicago.

With more productions playing simultaneously around the world than any other musical, MAMMA MIA! is now THE WORLD’S # 1 SHOW.

Inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs, writer Catherine Johnson’s sunny, funny tale of family and friendship unfolds on a tiny Greek island. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings 3 men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. Songs including “Dancing Queen;” “The Winner Takes It All;” “Money, Money, Money” and “Take A Chance on Me” are all featured in this feel-good night of fun and laughter.

A legacy of extraordinary songs and worldwide record sales of over 350 million have ensured ABBA a lasting popularity. The album ABBA GOLD, first released in 1992, has alone sold over 22 million copies.

The performance schedule through December 26th is as follows: Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 & 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 & 7:30 p.m. There will not be performances on Thursday, November 25 (Thanksgiving Day) and Friday, December 24 (Christmas Eve). There will also not be a 7:30 p.m. performance on Sunday, December 12 and there will not be a 2 p.m. performance on Saturday, December 25 (Christmas Day). There will be a 2 p.m. performance on Wednesday, November 24, Wednesday, December 8, and Wednesday, December 22 and there will be a 7:30 p.m. performance on Monday, December 20. Also, the 2 p.m. performance on Sunday, December 5 will be signed interpreted for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
