Robert Rainey: Family Self Portrait Series
Sunday, July 23, 2006
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
South Carolina-based photographer Robert Rainey explores the notion of the American family unit today by interjecting himself into family portraits, and substituting himself for different family members.
Throughout theses conceptual collaborative portraits, Rainey questions gender roles and sexual orientation, as historically outlined.
This exhibition of approximately fifteen new works is organized by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs in conjunction with the Chicago Gay Games VII.
At Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E Washington Street
