Reeling Opening Screening & Gala

Thursday, November 2, 2006
7:15 PM

Music Box Theatre  (Map it)
3733 N Southport
Chicago, IL 60613

Reeling 2006 opens Thursday, November 2 at the Music Box Theatre with the first gay sequel, EATING OUT 2: SLOPPY SECONDS, featuring the homegrown talent of director Phillip Bartell and actor Jim Verraros of American Idol fame. Eating Out 2 is a raucous follow-up to last year's smash hit, in which Kyle convinced his straight roommate to play gay to get the girl. This time around, it is Kyle who, with the help of gal pals Gwen and Tiffani, puts on his best heterosexual performance to win the hot new guy in town. Along the way, Kyle somehow finds himself joining the campus ex-gay support group and nabbing a girlfriend. Eating Out 2 delivers the same outrageous humor, unexpected turnarounds, and hilarious situations as the much-loved original.
Following the screening, we’ll celebrate our opening in lavish style at the stunning Architectural Artifacts. A three-story atrium filled with fantastical vintage treasures, this magical space is the ideal setting for a night of performance art and dancing to the music of local girl band 8 Inch Betsy. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar sponsored by Stolichnaya Russian Vodka and Stella Artois.

Film & Gala: $50/$45 members; Film Only: $12/$10 members

After Screening Party at Architectural Artifacts, 4325 N. Ravenswood.
