“Halsted Tastes Better”

The coming of summer on Chicago’s north side can always be marked by the onset of “Halsted Tastes Better”, presented by the Northalsted Area Merchants Association.

The festival, which offers festival-goers a vibrant mix of savory foods, refreshing drinks and lively music, is the perfect way to kick-off the summer season.

The festival will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, June 18 in North Halsted at Aldine in Lakeview.

This year marks the seventh year crowds will flock to sample the dishes which “Halsted Tastes Better” has to offer. In addition to the celebration of the finest cuisine found on the north side of Chicago, there will also be live music performed by Jazz Couture to help go along with the culinary festivities.

The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. The price of admission includes 12 tickets to go towards any food or drink purchases. One ticket equals one food item or one drink item. Additional tickets may be purchased at $10 for a set of five.

Participating restaurants will be offering samples of their finest dishes and drinks. Restaurants include:
