Neighborhood Writing Alliance Annual Benefit

Monday, May 19, 2008
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Margo Jefferson will read at the Neighborhood Writing Alliance’s Annual Benefit on Monday, May 19th, 2008 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Roosevelt University Library (430 South Michigan Avenue, 10th floor). Jefferson will share the stage with two writers from the Neighborhood Writing Alliance’s Journal of Ordinary Thought, Brad Norris (St. Leonard’s House) and Kamilyn Baskerville (the CARA Program).

The benefit will support the on-going programs of the Neighborhood Writing Alliance which engage adults in the creative process of writing and generate in-depth discussions of important social issues. The writings, based on the authors’ lives, are published quarterly in the Journal of Ordinary Thought, and occasionally shared at public readings. Tickets are available by calling 773-684-2742 or online at the Neighborhood Writing Alliance website www.jot.org.
