Chix That Rock is a division of Chix Mix Productions – We are kicking off the first women’s music artists and comedian event monthly, beginning on Saturday, October 11th 2008

Our staff searches high and low for well known, and underground female performers who truly rock the Mic. This lineup is for sure to take you on a great ride whether you are single or committed – Bring your partners and bring your friends!

$10 Cover, no guest list. Just come with your family and friends, and enjoy a night of great entertainment.

This event will be the 2nd Saturday of Every Month at the Kinetic Playground Located at 1113 W Lawrence in Chicago across from the Aragon.

There’s a huge free parking lot right behind the venue. This is a 21+ venue.

Kelsey Montanez is an accomplished musician, singer, and songwriter. Kelsey has performed for live audiences at local summer festivals, talent shows and local singing competitions in the greater Chicagoland area, including the Rock Camp USA hosted by Elmhurst College. In 2007, Kelsey performed for live audiences at The Uncommon Ground, The Blend, The Espresso Cup, The Ashbary Coffee House, and Chicago's MobFest.

Crystal Bowersox is also a singer and songwriter - Recently, Crystal Bowersox has been performing internationally, including: Birmingham, UK; Istanbul, Turkey; Mexico; Memphis, TN, and is currently working hard in the studio toward the release of her highly anticipated debut album, due to be released in the Fall of 2008.

Julie Goldman is a comedian, actress, and musician. She is the main celebrity on “The Big Gay Sketch Show”, a sketch comedy show on the Logo television network. She tours nationally, and is coming back to Chicago as the headliner for this event; Master of Ceremonies, Comedy, and sharing her Music – Get ready to rock out!
