* Boycrazy (John Sobrack, USA, 2009): Tired of online hookups and ready for long-term love, boy crazy Corey sings his way from one-night-stands to true love in this romantic musical.
* Queerantine! (Kerry O’Quinn, USA, 2009): When an Orange County high school becomes infected with “The Gay,” a newswoman and her camera crew become trapped inside with the infected students in this horror film parody.
* Dinx (Trevor Anderson, Canada, 2009): A strip club shot boy learns an important lesson from his past.
* Bi-Definition (Kai Salim, USA, 2008): A funny take on why Bi doesn’t mean “confused,” “gay” or “straight.”
* King County (David Quantic, USA, 2007): Hilarious remakes of masterpieces in theater.
* Q-Case (Michael Mew, Canada, 2009): A queer X-Files spoof about a man who has been hiding a secret from his partner.
* Mad at the Dirt (Peter Neville, USA, 2009): A music video by The Joans, paying homage to tyrant and icon, Joan Crawford.
* Dish (Brian Harris Krinsky, USA, 2009): Surrounded by sexually active friends, 15-year-old virgin Israel must decide what to do when his older crush, Ricky, invites him home.

Reeling 2009, the second-oldest LGBT film festival in the world, will run November 5th through the 15th, showcasing innovative gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender films from around the globe. Reeling will take place at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema (2828 N. Clark St.), Film Row Cinema (Columbia College, 1104 S. Wabash Ave.), Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport Ave.), and the Festival’s home base at Chicago Filmmakers (5243 N. Clark St.).

As always, Reeling continues to push boundaries and keep the festival’s programming fresh and culturally rich by presenting work from worldwide perspectives and in genres ranging from light-hearted comedy to introspective experimental. Our mission is to recognize the important artistic and socially relevant contributions LGBT filmmakers have made to our culture and to counteract stereotyping with valid, meaningful, and diverse portrayals of LGBT people.
