On November 26, 1922, the tomb of King Tutankhamun was discovered, unlocking the most precious treasures the world had ever known. Throughout the late 70’s, millions of Americans marveled at the treasures of King Tut in an unprecedented museum exhibition. After nearly 30 years, King Tut’s treasures return to America one last time in Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs.

The art of Luis Fernando Uribe, through vivid colors, entwining forms, and overt subject, has the disarming quality of being deeply erotic without necessarily being directly sexual. His work has been sold to many prominent private collections, as well as, to the the Latin American Art Museum (Long Beach, CA), Museum of Bellas Artes (Medellin, Colombia), the Bellas Artes Museum (Caracas, Venezuela), and the DeYoung Museum (San Fransisco, CA).

101 Talismans for a Happy Death

The late Chicago Artist Joseph Conlon's series 101 Talismans for a Happy Death will be on display at Aron Packer Gallery. Conlon, who was HIV positive for over 20 years, created the work in the last five years of his life and passed away in 2005.
