Dear Princess Darby~

I really screwed up this past week. I lied to my mother to go see my girlfriend, and now I have everyone upset expecially my girlfriend.

It is killing me to see her upset as she is. And I am really worried she is going to end it between us. I really don't know what I would do without her. She is my everything and I plan on being with her the rest of my life.

Is there anything I can do to make her pain go away or to make her feel any better. Please...I am at my wits end. I dont wanna loose her.

Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Do you remember what happened to Pinocchio when he lied. The only problem here is that Princess Darby doesn't have a magic wand to wave those naughty lies away, and make your nose shorter!

How big was your lie? Why did you have to lie? How old are you that you needed to lie to your Mother?

First of all, Mothers have ESP. They know all, see all, and hear all. I know from experience. Three cheers to your girlfriend who has the smarts to be mad at you for lying to your Moom. She shows she has character, and is bright by taking your Mom's side.

You're going to have to rebuild your credibility. Perhaps if you made a nice dinner for both your Mother and your girlfriend, apologize, and make like a sweetie, they'll forgive you. If you still find yourself in trouble, talk to your Mom about your situation with your girlfriend. Moms like that. I think she may be please that she supported her. Then, ask her to call your girlfriend and invite her for your next family dinner.

I have a question for you. If you think about the big picture in life, with all that's going on around us in the world, do you this would end anything, or be the most important challenge in your life?

Remember, life offers many challenges to us. You only have one set of partents, enjoy them, don't lie to them. I believe if one gets in a havit of lying, one tends to start cheating. But, you have a full life in front of you. Don't worry about the small stuff, there will be plenty of stuff ahead in the bigger scheme of things.
