I want to thank Avenue Tavern for being the only place to donate 100% of all money they collected for Dining Out for Life.
that's pretty cool! It was my first time there and I will return because it was nice and people were really attratcie and nice.

Avenue Tavern became a favorite of mine when I moved to the neighbrhood 2 years ago. There's always hot gay men in there who don't do the gay bar thing.
The staff is very gay friendly and it's a great alternative place to watch the parade and hang out with real guys!

Every time I go into Avenue Tavern there is a lot of gay men... this being a bar in what is still a very gay neighbourhood.
I'm not a gay bar kinda guy, so I feel good about visiting a cool place with other gay men around. And the staff is very gay friendly. They also participate in a lot of gay events/themes like the parade. I really feel comfortable here and the food was good.

Oh to be a "metrosexual" in Chicago now. What? With all of the new bars, restaurants and lounges catering to your every "metrosexual" need.
Avenue Tavern does cater to the "new" crowd but caters to family, as well. I here that they may even have a float in this year's Pride Parade. No one is left in the cold at Ave. Tav.
Come for the libations and above average pub grub. Stay for the great people watching while dining al fresco on their sidewalk patio.
