General Information:
 |
| |
Opened in 1975 by James Gates, Little Jim's was North Halsted Street's first gay bar which helped pave the way for the commercial revitalization of the area known today as Boystown.
Because of its 4 a.m. liquor license, the bar becomes a popular desitination after the bars in the neighborhood have closed.
James "Little Jim" Gates was inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame in 2002. |
