I like Roscoe's: the most attractive bar space on the strip. DJ is always nice for requests, although the music videos are the standard.
Dancefloor is cool. Crowd can be a bit to-themselves, so go with a friend or group. Also, look out for the drunk straight girls, lol.

This place was good but has recently started to slide. The prices were raised on the drinks yet nothing is being done to improve the bar.
The tile on the floor is hideous and has probably been there from the 80s. The stupid things that measure your cocktails make the drinks taste like all juice when no one else around Roscoe's measures and charges 1.25 less. Thank god the dance floor burned forcing them to do some well needed remodeling. My friends and I used to go here. IMHO go to one of the several bars surrounding this place because they are of better value.

This was my first gay bar and will always be my favorite! Bartender Joel is reason enough to return. He is beyond beautiful!

Roscoe's is perhaps my most frequented bar when I hit when the windy city. The crowd is always diverse & wonderfully inclusive.
The atmosphere can be ecclectic & energetic while retaining a positive old-world feel. I look forward to bringing my boifriend there on his first visit to Chicago. The SAM ADAMS on tap is always a rare find in the gay sphere...kuddos!

I usually visit roscoe's on sunday nite's the atmosphere is nice, the bartenders are great and the Long island flow all nite.

Roscoe's is a must visit when you're in Chicago. I have not found this place to be the "college age A&F model factory" that some say it is.
Instead, I find it to be some college, some middle aged guys, and lots of girls who love gay guys. Its really an interesting mix of diversity. The place is huge with a great dance floor that can get packed! When the place is busy, I'd say the hookup potential goes down to a 1. It can get too crowded to meet and talk to other people. The staff is very friendly and efficient---some of the best bartenders I've ever seen---even when its busy. Like usual in gay bars, there are the regular gay cliques of Boystown dwellers that can make a visitor feel unwelcomed. However, hang around the front bar for a few minutes and someone will likely strike up a conversation with you. Roscoe's is a definite stop on your visit to Chicago----but its not gay heaven! The bar has it's goods and it's bads.

Roscoes has always been a fun bar. Coming from Milwaukee, it offers a diversity that we don't see. That being said, Roscoes isn't as fun as it used to be say 3-5 years ago, and no, I'm not old.
..only 27. On weekends, start at Roscoes and finish at Hydrate or Circuit for a complete evening.

I've been going to Roscoe's for 10 years now and still love it. Always a nice mix of twinks and athletic types.
Attracts a younger crowd. Sundays in my opinion are the best... feel free to go there ultra-casual.

Great neighborhood bar on the weekdays and fun destination on the weekends. You've got to visit Roscoes at least once if you're visiting the city.

You gotta LOVE Roscoe's, something for everyone. Nice mixed crowd, fun dance floor, cool staff. A definite stop on the Boystown circuit.

I think that Rosco's is one of the best bars. With the Best staff that they have including all of their bartenders.
People who think that side tracks is better they are crazy......

Roscoe's is the place to be... Just moving here from San Fran, Ca. aka "The gay mecca" I had high expectations of the Chicago scene and Roscoe's met every single one.
Hot guys, great music oh and did I say hot guys. If you are 21-35, it is a great place to been seen and find some great friends in the process.

Made a return visit to Chicago after moving away 5 yrs ago. If you are 25-35 this is the place to go, as usual.
Young crowd? Yes! Friendly? Not like I remember it to be. Miss the days gone by with "Rita and her Magaritas." Sidetracks across the street still has Roscoe's beat hands down.

I love the music in Roscoes on Fridays. The dance floor is nice and the crowd is cool. It's a very cruisy place so it's easy to hook up too.
Guys are outgoing and friendly. You can find a lot of cute boys there - from any color and age. Have fun!

Preppy, upbeat, white boys and a few others, that love to take off their shirts. There is something differnt and fun every day.
Post Office, Trade, etc. It is a must see for any gay person visiting or living in Chicago.
Music is techno/ house/ garage/ pop, but usually danceable and crowd pleasing.
Check it out, it is definitly a landmark to see while in the Windy City.
(Drinks are measured electroically so dont expect strong drinks.) (Staff is friendly and cool.) (Pool tables, and an outside patio-just as soon as the snow thaws.)

Hey I am from Chicago and live right near the Boystown Area. Every Saturday night I head out to Roscoe's for the best drinks and dancing I can have.
Especially Joey..Sexy little bartender. And to the guy that said "Side Tracks" if you are over the hill thats where you belong. :) Roscoe's is the place for the youngest hottest guys in Chicago.

Gay or Straight.It's the best place to meet wonderful people.But everybodie
comes to be seen.
And to check out sexy
guy's.
Personally i found my boyfriend or
he found me at Roscoe's five months ago.
And we are totally happy together.
So i tell everybodie to come out,and
check out roscoe's.There is no such thing as getting lucky at this place.
Their is someone for everyone at this
hot spot in Chicago.
