August 13 - 16th, 2009

You've got a busy weekend

Well Chicago, be careful what you asked for - you wanted summer and now you've got it.  After a cool start it looks like summer is going out with a bang.  There's plenty of great things to do outside this weekend including the Air & Water Show and joining in on a community walk in Boystown on Friday night.  Get out there have some fun - and be safe!

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13

Get involved in your neighborhood.  Attend the BEAT 2332 CAPS Meeting at the J Merlo Library 644 W Belmont at 7PM.

For a night of Poetry head to Women & Children First Books in Andersonville where local poets Jenene Ravesloot and Lucia Blinn will read from their collected works.  While you're 'up north' head on over to Wild Pug for an evening of Prose, Poetry and Pints - an open mic night for authors and new writers from 7:30-10PM
