On Sunday, June 28, 2009, one of the city's largest parades, the 40th annual Gay & Lesbian Pride Parade
features over 250 floats and groups along Halsted Street and Belmont Avenue, down to Halsted's northern
end at Grace Street. The parade turns onto Broadway, travels to Diversey and east to Lincoln Park.
Stake your claim along the route early, or wander to check out the other attraction - the colorful crowd.
The Chicago Pride Parade draws over 400,000 people annually. Bar and restaurant celebrations follow the parade and continue throughout the night in Boystown.
