The youngest of seven kids raised in the Chicago suburbs, Ryan Kolodziej (pronounced ka-low-jay) is the signature drag enthusiast of his native city’s LGBT media.
Regularly contracted by Nightspots Magazine and ChicagoPride.com since 2004, Kolodziej’s photographic reporting covered over 100 drag shows in the four years prior to 2009. His credits cite multiple cover shoots for Nightspots, including the publication’s Pride 2007-themed issue, as well as the front-page photo of Cyndi Lauper printed in The Windy City Times’ Gay Games ’06 edition.
