Although I was born and raised in Chicago, I've only been living here on a permanent basis since June, after I finished an MA in English at University of Texas. While there, my focus was creative writing, but most of my classes were literature-based. My favorite writers are James Joyce, Thomas Pynchon, and Virginia Woolf. I fail thrillingly at trying to emulate them in my own writing.
I rarely turn down an opportunity to go out to the club. I love blaring Jay-Z and UGK in my car while driving down the Kennedy Exwy. I attend all three days of Lollapalooza every year. It's like a pilgrimage.
I currently work as a copy editor at a publishing company in Glenview, but my true calling is teaching. I've taught creative writing to incoming high school freshman the past three summers. I hope to teach it again soon.
I'm looking for friends who crave a good time and have lots of energy. I don't really have any gay friends my own age in Chicago, so if I seem like an awesome dude to you add me as a friend!
