Chicago's Brack selected as a top ten finalists in VH-1 national competition

Chicago, IL — Chicago songstress Suzy Brack has been selected by VH1 as one of the ten finalists in their national "Divas" competition.
The former lead singer of the Mystechs, Suzy recently debuted her new band Suzy Brack & The New Jack Lords at Chicago's Metro for the 5th annual WXRT and Neo-Futurists event "30 Girl Bands in 60 Minutes". A review in the Chicago Tribune mentions ..."the splashy solo debut of gifted vocalist Suzy Brack (late of fey electronic poppers the Mystechs) — a "Hawaii Five-O" parody/homage to the Neo-Futurists by Brack and her band the New Jack Lords..."
Suzy has toured and recorded with musical acts as
diverse as the art-folk of Tautologic and the swing jazz of Yves Francois. Her most recent screen acting credits include Slave (2002)an independent feature film by writer/director Noel Olken. With a voice befitting the Diva appelation, Suzy is known to tailor her performances both in style and costume.
The "Are You Diva Enough?" competition coincides with the "VH1 Divas Duets: A Benefit Concert for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation" which airs live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Thursday, May 22 at 9:00pm(ET/PT). Chaka Khan, Beyonce, Lisa Marie Presley, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mary J. Blige, Jewel, Ashanti and Stevie Wonder will join host Queen Latifah
for the 5th annual event. The winner of the "Are You Diva Enough?" competition will be determined by public online voting at www.VH1.com. Balloting will end on June 14th, 2003.
