Chicago, IL — The Gourmet Grape, 3530 N. Halsted, is hosting a “holiday wine tasting” of 12 various varieties from around the world on Sat. and Sun., Dec. 6 & 7, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. 10% of wine sales and 15% of merchandise sales from these two days will be donated to “The Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.”

The Gourmet Grape is a new retail establishment located in the heart of Chicago’s famed North Halsted Street.  The Gourmet Grape features a wide variety of favorite and specialty wines, gourmet gifts, gift baskets, and other home accessories.  Owners and partners, Jeff Durbin and Michael Banko, have created a warm and cozy retail store that is a one-stop shop for everything from a bottle of wine to distinctive gifts, all at reasonable prices.

The Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation is dedicated to the fight against pediatric cancer by improving the quality of life for pediatric cancer patients and their families while furthering advancements in research.

A special appearance is planned by Tom Beatty and Dennis Costa, owners, Rainbow Ridge Winery of California.  Beatty and Costa will be on hand on Sunday, Dec. 7, offering information about their vineyard’s variety, offerings as well as personally autographing their varieties.
