Fort Lauderdale, FL and San Diego, CA — MP3.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: MPPP) and MarsMusic.com, the online destination for musicians and music enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, today announced the launch of the new Musician’s Mall at www.mp3.com/musiciansmall. The virtual store, now available on the MP3.com site, will offer consumers access to an extensive collection of musical gear from MarsMusic.com, the exclusive musical instrument retailer for MP3.com.

Digital artists and MP3.com users who visit the Musician’s Mall may gain access to MarsMusic.com’s comprehensive array of musical instruments and products encompassing over 8,500 items such as guitars, drums, amplifiers, speakers, recording gear to DJ equipment. Visitors to the Musician’s Mall will also have the opportunity to take advantage of special offers exclusive to MP3.com users. Additionally, MarsMusic.com will add a link to their homepage that will allow digital artists to register to post music at MP3.com.

“This agreement broadens the scope of services we offer to musicians and consumers,” commented Michael Robertson, chairman and chief executive officer of MP3.com (www.mp3.com). “Our company is founded on music, and it’s a natural fit to partner with an innovative company like Mars Music in order to offer the musicians access to a large collection of equipment and music-related products.”

“We’re very excited about our new venture with MP3.com, which broadens our market exponentially, enabling us to offer our vast selection of products and services to more music lovers worldwide and to extend our reach and impact as a major e-retailer,” said David MacBlane, president of MarsMusic.com.
