2nd Annual Viewer's Choice Entertainer of the Year Awards Presented by Dragtastic.com

Chicago, IL — What a busy start to the 2nd Annual Dragtastic.com Viewer’s Choice EOY Awards. With a huge increase of nominations over last year’s event, it came down to the wire. With a couple of returning faces and a lot of new faces, this year’s ballot is chocked full of talent. The biggest change for 2005 is the addition of the National Male Impersonator EOY category.

Let’s get started by exploring the official categories of 2005:

OFFICIAL CHICAGOLAND EOY (Female Impersonation) NOMINEES:

Receiving enough nominations and returning to the ballot this year are the entertainers Angelique Munro, Monica Munro and Tajma Hall - all three household names in the Chicagoland scene.

New to this year’s ballot, receiving enough nominations to also put them in the top 10, represent every area of female impersonation across the spectrum. In alphabetical order (by first name) they are: Aurora Sexton, Fuchsia La’me Mulgrove, Lauren Jacobs, Monique Marquette, Regina Phillips, Regina Upright and Sasha Valentino.

In 2004, Sassy Trade (pictured) received the crown and title with 31% of the Chicagoland Category vote.

OFFICIAL NATIONAL EOY (Female Impersonation) NOMINEES:

All new faces for this year’s ballot on the National front – receiving enough nominations to put them in the top 10 for the 2005 ballot (in alphabetical order by first name) are: Alana Steele (IN), Blaize (GA), Britney Valentine (TX), Champagne Showers (IA), Chantal (WI), Paisley Parque (NC), Pandora Boxx (NY), Trinity Taylor (AL), Victoria Morgan (SC) and Wendy Williams (FL).

In 2004, Asia LaBouche (Indiana) received the crown and title with 25% of the National Category vote.

OFFICIAL NATIONAL EOY (Male Impersonation) NOMINEES:

Our newest category has taken us by surprise with Florida busting out in a fury, followed by Michigan, Illinois and California. Receiving enough nominations to put them in the top 10 for the 2005 ballot (in alphabetical order by first name) are: 6-Pack (FL), Alexander Dagrate (MI), Damian Ross (MI), Devon James (FL), Gage Gatlyn (FL), Harley Poker (IL), Izzie Big (IL), Jeff DeMac (FL), Justin Tyme (MI), and Rian Hunter (CA)

There was no previous year winner as this is the first year of this category.
