Chicago, IL — Bill Pritchard, Senior Vice President for ChicagoPride.com, the number one online resource for Chicago's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, announces the opportunity to make a difference in lives of those struggling with cancer in the Chicago community.

Pritchard and Chicago interior design consultant Paul Kepner will be hosting a open bar benefit on April 28th at John Barleycorn (3524 N. Clark St.) to raise support for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Paul Kepner, a cancer survivor has made it his personal goal to raise the most money for cancer in the Chicago-land area.

"The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Chicago is a group that raises money for research and helps adults and children suffering from horrible blood cancers," said Kepner.  To that end, Kepner is committing to ten weeks of focused fundraising.

"We are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful life changing occasion," said Barleycorn's manager, JR Cranston. "Events like these are what we specialize in at all of our John Barleycorn locations!"

Commemorating five years in remission; Kepner will be the party's guest of honor. "Anyone who knows Paul Kepner can testify to his amazing success story," said Pritchard. "We are going to celebrate that thrilling determination by raising funds for this most worthy cause!"

The cost of this event is $30 for ALL YOU CAN DRINK from 8:00 -11:00 p.m. "If you are not able to attend, I would like to ask you to donate online at www.ChicagoPride.com/Difference," said Pritchard. "Making a difference starts with your desire to be a part of something bigger than yourself. This is such an opportunity!"
