Chicago, IL — The Lesbian Community Care Project (LCCP), a program of Howard Brown Health Center, announced a free drop-in night for LBT individuals. 

Beginning Jan. 30, the free night will be held on the last Wednesday of each month at HBHC, 4025 N. Sheridan. Medical and mental health screenings and services with Howard Brown's medical and behavioral health providers will be provided from 6 to 8 pm; from 6 to 7 p.m. will be the "Health Salon," a rotating list of topics presented informally by an expert. 

January's topic will be cervical cancer and HPV. Future topics will cover other issues of concern to the LBT community including heart health, LGBT parenthood, substance abuse, mental health, osteoporosis, menopause, lesbian relationships, body image/nutrition, ovarian and breast cancer, and diabetes. 

There is no appointment or RSVP necessary, and services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. 

"This is an exciting announcement for LCCP, and demonstrates Howard Brown's commitment to the LBT community," said Cat Jefcoat, Lesbian Community Care Project Director. "This will help to ensure that lesbian, bisexual, and queer women and transgender individuals have ongoing access to sensitive medical care, programming, and education on important lesbian health topics."
