Well, its little wonder whats happening in this world of ours. I am not surprised one bit. Those who do not think or rather believe we are in "the last days" before Jesus return, had better take note. First of all, people should keep in mind that this is not a "man" having a baby. This is a woman pretending to be a man having a baby. This is what I would consider the most immoral and selfish act. Have this couple even stopped to consider what kind of effect this could have on the child mentally as he or she gets older? how are they going to explain this very complex situation to their child? You know what they say, If one person says your wrong, well maybe there's something wrong with them. If many people think your wrong, then there is definately something wrong with you. This couple clearly lacks good moral judgement. They have mocked God in so many ways. I hope when they go on the Oprah Winfrey show, they don't try and justify what they have done by talking about how God loves all his children. This has nothing to do with God's love. This is pure selfishness.

im not going to judge these people. as jesus once said "he who is without sin be the first to cast a stone." but i think the fact of the matter is that this person is obviously female since "he" has a uterus and vagina and was able to get pregnant. Last time i checked, men had penises and women had vaginas. i just want to know who made the decision that if a woman cuts her titties off and takes male hormones, that makes the woman into a man. i dont believe that a woman can be a man until a COMPLETE transgender surgery is done. that means that "she" gets a penis during surgery and becomes a "he". last i knew, it was our genitalia that determined our sex, wither or not we are male or female. and last i knew our gender has nothing to do with religion. im not a prude, i just dont think we should give a woman who is confused about her gender, and is now pregnant any attention, because there is nothing special or unusual about her, except the fact that she cut her titties off and tried to be a man, and now shes pregnant. have her get a penis, then get pregnant, then i might tune into the oprah show and listen about a woman, now man, getting pregnant. until she gets her man equipment, shes still a woman.

I would like to comment on the ideas of what "the world has become". This has nothing to do with God or religion. No one is "mocking God" as one man puts it. Another states that we are in the "lowest depth of immorality and depravation". This man is trans-gendered. This is not a new concept. All societies throughout history have had trans-gendered people born within them. What makes us different today is that we finally have enough knowledge of biology, and simply the basic intelligence, to not kill this group of individuals when they are born. "Mocking God"..."Immorality"...HA! If you have the religious faith that you act like you have while spouting out the word God, then you have to accept that God created this man just as he created you my friends. The ideas become truths at the same time. You cant have one without the other. Any true believer of God would treat this man as an equal, just as anyone who may not have a religious faith should do. He is only using the tools he was born with to carry out what appears to be one of the greatest joys he and his wife could ever hope for. We should support them rather than condemn them.

Lee -- Your literal fundamentalist Heaven or Hell interpretation of the Bible is silly. Also, if what you're trying to say is that gays don't appreciate the human body because the only way to understand how "wonderfully made" we are is through penile / vaginal intercourse, you're wrong.

James -- Everyone is entitled to his / her stupid opinions. It doesn't necessarily mean they're being hateful.

Like "Truth", I follow the Bible mindlessly but it really got me into with my wife.

See, I quoted Leviticus 15:19-24 to my wife. I told her that during menstration the Bible says a woman "shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even." So I told my wife she had to be seperated from the rest of the family during menstration. I suggested she stay in the basement for the duration.

Well that didn't go over so well.

Lev. 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans. But some that don't fear the rath of God don't agree and say I can't purchase a Mexican slave.

I'm reminded of a case I read a while back from the San Francisco Chronicle where a reporter was standing with his young daughter at the San Francisco pride parade. And I'm sure you know how crazy those parades are. As a group of S&M guys in leather, half-naked, rode by on motorcycles, the girl stared and her eyes grew wide. She turned to her father, and said, "Daddy! They're not wearing helmets!"

I've seen this sort of thing all the time. Little kids don't have stereotypes. Stereotypes are taught. I have a friend whose father is black and her mother white. When she first when to school, she was shocked that the other kids didn't have both a white mother and black father. To her, a white mother and black father was what was normal, and all these other kids were weird.

What kind of an effect will this have mentally on kids? The kids will grow up thinking that it's normal for either of the parents to be able to get pregnant for the first few years of their life. Then, after learning that's not the case, they'll just view their parents as special. And that's all it really comes down to.

Okay. So, a person with PAIS: Female or male? What about a person with "guevedoche" (5-alpha reductase deficiency)? Male or female? Aphallia? Clitoromegaly? Congenital adrenal hyperplasia? Complete gonadal dysgenesis? Hypospadias? Or any of dozens of other conditions?

Gender is not as binary as you may wish it was. It's also a lot more malleable than you may wish. Any man on the planet today can lactate just by given the proper hormones. Honest to god breastmilk -- first colostrum, then full milk. That's how flexible the human body is. There's no stark line between genders, only a steady continuity.

(a male or female) this person was born a woman with no genetic abnormalities. she felt like her personality fit the "male" sterotype. (she likes other females and has a strong dominating need to be "the man") so she gets rid of her boobs and takes hormones to look masculine. good for her, shes making her appearance fit her personality better. it still doesnt make her male. sorry for being close minded, but she was born female, she will always be female. its only her gender, it doesnt define who she is on the inside.

So I was interested in this story a while ago and never got a chance to look it up and read it. Annnd just happened to find this webpost and read (almost) all the comments here (got sick of them towards the end).

First off, I agree with sypher.
Secondly, all of you religious people need to chill out! No need to go around questioning and labeling people and their actions. Also, don't go around pushing your religious views/whatever the Bible says on people who: 1) don't want to hear it; 2) like to interpret the Bible through their own perspectives (after all, there is no one single way to interpret the Bible imo..); or 3) really just don't care what the Bible says.

Just learn to accept & forgive!
Actually, I take that back because, wait, what? Ohhhh, because it's not even your guys' business! This couple, legally gay or not or whatever, don't need any of y'alls opinions.


Honestly, I think we should all just wish the best for them - especially you religious folks. Use your energy elsewhere! Why don't you pray for the couple and their kid instead of bickering at each other like sad bitches, and just pray to your God that they have a happy life. If you don't think they deserve a prayer from you because blahblahblah... okay, so what? Then they don't deserve a prayer if that's what you think! Just RESIST the TEMPTATION to reply back on this wall with comments like "LOVE, you're stupid if you think blahblahblah" or whatever.

As I stated before, use your energy elsewhere. That's all there really is to it.
