Chicago, IL — Chicago House & Social Service Agency will premiere "Families for Families," on May 3, a special family friendly brunch and fashion event to be held the day before the annual brunch, in the Winter Garden Ballroom of the Harold Washington Library. The highly successful Spring Brunch & Fashion Show, an annual sellout, will be held the next day,
Sunday, May 4, also in the Winter Garden Ballroom of the Library.

Families for Families, as it's being called in it's premier year, will be co-chaired by Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh of the Food Network's "Hearty Boys," and Yoko and David Mosher.

"This will be a sensationally sweet kickoff to an entire weekend of events, and a fun and interactive way for families to feel a sense of connectedness to the 20 adults and 45 kids who will call Chicago House's Family Support Program their home this coming year," said Jeremy Hilborn, Chicago House's Manager of Special Events.  "Expect all the energy and special surprises that we've been known for at the traditional Brunch, only toned down for our donors with children.  We've chosen the Candyland Couture theme which can translate well for both events." The family event runs from Noon-3PM on Saturday, May 3rd.
Fashions will be provided by Madison & Friends, with a non-stop entertainment lineup featuring Radio Disney.

The 20th annual brunch, on Sunday, will again feature the flower market, supplied by Jayson Home & Garden, where guests choose and purchase flower stems for their tables, an elegant lunch by Jewell Events Catering and desserts from Sara Lee Corporation. Gourmet take-home treats and desserts will introduce "Sweet Miss Giving's Bakery", a tasty
new venture by Chicago House, set to launch this Spring.  Ford Models
will strut the runway in fashions by Chicago's very own Steven Rosengard of Project Runway, as well as fashions by His Stuff, 5p1t, Jake, and Andrew Christian.

Recipient of the 2008 Spirit Award is The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Co-chairs are Franco Gianni and Gary Zickel. The brunch lasts be from 11:30am to 3:00 p.m.

Tickets for "Families for Families" are $40 for children and $100 for adults. Tickets to the 20th Annual Spring Brunch & Fashion Show are $160 for Garden Seating and $260 at the Runway. For information on both events, phone: 773-248-5200, ext. 303 or visit www.chicagohouse.org.
