Chicago, IL — The Chicago Gay and Lesbian Community weekend celebration of Pride commences on North Halsted between Addison and Grace with a Pet Parade and costume contest.  Registration begins at noon at Halsted and Grace, the parade goes south on Halsted to Addison, where all contestants will walk the WaMu Addison Stage and then prizes will be awarded.

This year's Pride Fest is larger than ever, running from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, on Halsted Street between Waveland Avenue and Grace Street. 

Entertainment kicks off on the main stage at 1:00 p.m., and includes American Idol Winner Kimberly Locke at 2 p.m., American Idol Contestant and Broadway Star Frenchie Davis at 3:30 p.m., Dance Diva Inaya Day at 5:15 p.m., Legendary Martha Wash (C+C Music Factory, Black Box, Weather Girls) at 6:15 p.m. and 80's pop superstar Tiffany at 7:00 p.m.  A special Pride Drag Show will occur between acts at 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. featuring performers from The Baton, Hydrate Chicago, Circuit Night Club, Roscoe's and the Kit Kat Club.

Local groups and popular bands begin performing on the WaMu Addison Stage after the Pet Parade and include Catfight at 3:30 p.m., 16 Candles at 6 p.m. and Disco-Funk-Motown tribute band 7-Deez at 7:30 p.m., as well as the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus, Chicago Spirit Brigade and the Boi Toiz.
