New Haven, CT — Same-sex marriages are to begin today in Connecticut now that a judge has cleared the way.
According to the Associated Press, New Haven Superior Court Judge Jonathan Silbert ruled this morning that gay and lesbian couples can begin requesting applications for a marriage license from clerks throughout the state.
Many gay and lesbian couples are planning ceremonies today.
Today's decision followed a Connecticut Supreme Court ruling on Oct. 10 saying same-sex couples have the right to marry under Connecticut state law.

Good luck to you and your partner!

If I live in Chicago, can my partner and I get married in CT? What do I need to do? I've tried googling with no results (event the state of CT website isn't updated with the info, it still says "man and a woman" only).
Can anyone help?
