Chicago, IL — After a long road from conception to reality, The Wild Pug opens its doors to the public in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood this November. The Wild Pug is a modern, English style pub featuring fourteen beers on tap, high-end scotches and whiskeys, and a 700 square foot dance floor. The new night spot also offers dart boards, leather couches, and a stone fireplace. "Chicago has a long winter season, and an inviting fireplace seemed a natural fit for The Pug," says owner Steve Milford.

While The Wild Pug plans on a variety of promotions, the first offering is a Sunday afternoon Tea Dance, featuring Chicago based DJ Steve Henderson. Long established on the East Coast, Mr. Henderson has numerous CD credits, headlined in clubs across the country and appeared at a number of festivals in the U.S. and Europe. The dance floor where he'll spin regularly is located in a separate room with a fully stocked bar of its own and can be booked for private parties and special events.

The Wild Pug hails from the same team that made Crew Bar + Grill an Uptown staple, Steve Milford and Brian Wells. The business team has been operating in the Uptown entertainment district for the past five years. Brian Wells adds, "We're excited to bring another entertainment option to Uptown that's unlike anything currently in the area."
