Chicago, IL — The Alexian Brothers Aids Ministry will host "ART for Life" from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the Michigan Room at the University Club, 76 E. Monroe. The event will bring together some of Chicago's artists who will sell their creations at silent and live auctions and the proceeds will go towards benefiting the residents of Bonaventure House in Chicago and The Harbor in Waukegan. The residents of these houses are AIDS or HIV patients, some of whom also struggle with the attendant problems of homelessness and substance abuse and they are served by the AIDS Ministry in keeping with the Alexian Brothers' tradition of serving and caring for the sick, poor and vulnerable. The Transitional Living Program at these locations provides support through a variety of innovative programs including case management, recovery services, occupational therapy, spiritual care and After Care. For more information, call 773-327-9921, ext. 132 or visit www.bonaventurehouse.org/art_for_life.
