Chicago, IL — Chicagoland restaurants come together to celebrate good food, good friends and a good cause during the 16th Annual Dining Out for Life.
Everyone can participate in Dining Out for Life by choosing from any of the participating restaurants for breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner, drinks and/or dessert on Thursday, April 30, when at least 25 percent of all food and liquor sales will be donated.
Joined with 3,500 restaurants from 55 cities across the United States and Canada, Dining Out for Life is the single largest HIV/AIDS benefit in the country.
This year's Dining Out for Life is bringing together 61 Chicago restaurants.
Chicago's DOFL fundraising event will benefit AIDSCare Chicago, a nonprofit organization providing housing and support to people of all ages who are living with AIDS in Chicagoland. AIDSCare has been assisting individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS to improve their quality of life since 1992.
"With the struggling economy, it's more important than ever for all of us to support people in need," said Ted Allen, National Dining Out For Life spokesperson.
Last year alone, the event raised over $3.9 million dollars for HIV/AIDS service providers across North America. Over $80,000 was raised in Chicago.
