Chicago, IL — A non-stop lineup of rock and dance music performers on two stages are just a few of the many highlights of Chicago's 7th annual Pride Fest this Friday and Saturday.
Among the more than 20 stage artists will be dance/club music faves Ultra Nate, Inaya Day, Thelma Houston, Jeanie Tracy and Martha Wash… '80s teen pop sensation Debbie Gibson… and local rock acts the Kimi Hayes Band, Dot Dot Dot, The Joans, Sixteen Candles and Rock Candy. Others scheduled include: disco-funk band 7DEEZ, the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus, Boi Toiz, plus drag queen performances.
Held on the two days preceding the Chicago's annual Pride Parade on Sunday, Chicago Pride Fest will be held on North Halsted and Waveland. Hours on Friday are 3:00-10:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
Pride Fest is sponsored by the Northalsted Area Merchants Association. Suggested gate donation is $7. In addition, a fun-filled pet parade, open to all, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
