Bathroom escapades aside, there's no denying that George Michael has been responsible for some of the biggest party jams of the '80s and '90s. Have you ever noticed what happens to a room when "Faith" erupts from the speakers? Aside from the funk-fueled "Fastlove," the material from his most recent album, Older, is well and truly overshadowed here by the megahits from days gone by. The first disc starts off slow, with "Careless Whisper" and his remake of "I Can't Make You Love Me" the only real high points among otherwise bland ballads. It's disc 2 that exudes the essence of Michael, with "Fastlove," "Too Funky," and "Freedom 90" providing a nonstop dance-athon, and "I Want Your Sex" and "Faith" picking up the slack. The package also includes his rather unexciting (but hugely popular) duets with Queen and Elton John, his perfect pop pairing with Aretha Franklin, and two new tracks. There are some songs on this 2 disk CD that I had totally forgotten that George had done.
The music and CD is just excellent. George Michael is such a dynamic singer, and I am glad
that I was able to purchase this CD set.

My CD's got stollen over a year ago, this CD is one I just had to replace! Anyone who is a George Michael fan will love this! The 2 CD set is broken down into one that is his softer songs and one that is more up tempo. I play the softer one at work often.

The sound quality is remarkable, you can blast your sound system with this CD. "Careless Whisper" will take your breath away specially in a candle lit room with your special girl with you in a romantic date...

I never received this item...the system would not let my update my new address AFTER I ordered it...so it went to my old address...I never got the CD and I as of yet I have not been refunded the purchase price.

I love this CD! Disc 1 is very soothing. Some of his songs are just beautiful and timeless. And Disc 2 when you want to get funky. There are a few songs missing but overall it's a great collection!
