  • Find out what really goes on after "lights out" in the homophobic yet intensely homoerotic world of masculine men in uniform!

Tantalizing, explicit, sometimes disturbing, and always genuine, A NIGHT IN THE BARRACKS delivers the goods. Former Marine Alex Buchman lays it on the line in this steamy collection of real-life sexual adventures related by the men themselves -- including Buchman -- who lived them.

    Mediocore Reading At Best
Customer Rating: 2 out of 5
This was a book of different experieces by different authors/persons they had affairs with and I found it confusing to me as some of them didn't describe their characters well or revert back to a situation by not identifing them.
This was a shallow recount of their stories that could have had more punch.

    THE REAL TRUTH
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
Before reading this book, i, like many others, had heard about the high volume of sexual contact that military males share with each other. Upon reading the book, it was very clear that the rumors had truth to them. This book was not only entertaining but it was educational. It was a page turner for sure! I hope I can find another book like this one. All military wives should read this book.

    Yawn
Customer Rating: 2 out of 5
I knew this would be something for reading in bed. I just had no idea that it would so quickly put me to sleep. The pretentious introduction was the first clue, and the stories, well, not exactly well told...

    No so good...

So the description sold me the book - it sounded hot... but it did not turn out that way. I was dissapointed...

    Very Sexy
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5
This collection of "authentic accounts" sizzles with steamy sex, repressed longings, and blantant activity. It is a hard hitting, and at times poignant look at being gay and in the military. That combination is difficult at best, but when one decides to act out one's passions while in the service of the United States Military, one has placed himself and his
partner(s) in a non-literal "line of fire". The sheer audacity of the acts make them more dangerous, and as a result, more fulfilling.

I have only one argument with the book. The last two "stories" are not in keeping with the theme of book, i.e., gay sex in the military. They are simply out of place, as far as this reader is concerned, and should have been edited out. Nonetheless, buy the book and ditch the last 2 entries.
