Great old school house music. Brought me back a decade to the good old guido days down the jersey shore.

I'm a real house and club music junkie. I'm 44 years old and live in NYC. I used to go to all the underground clubs to hear the latest house and club mixes. I was a member of the Paradise Garage and I've been hounding real, classic house and club tunes for all of my adult life. I saw some tunes on the CD that I only had on tape (yes, cassettes) so I thought I would give it a try. The mixes were average, maybe even weak on a couple songs. The selection was okay. Outside of the specific tunes I was looking for the rest were just okay. Overall, I liked the CD but Ultimate doesn't begin to describe the mixes or the selection. Overall, I'd say it's decent to good but not great or Ultimate.

I did not expect all original productions. Unfortunately, you would hear this type of "ultimate" megamix at an, empty, second rate night club. I would not recommend this CD to a deaf person.

The dj attemps to bring together good cuts with radio jams and it should be separate. Wish Doctor and Perculator and not in the same league as the others. House or club should have a deep trance like section separate from the regulra club radio version.

was reading the table of contents on this cd-it takes me back to the days of college and all the frats and other social clubs puttting on outdoor parties on campus with live dj's mixing to attract newbies to their clubs!! How can any cd that is supposed to be an ultimate mix of classic house not have the Outhere Brothers "Boom"? Man that song was ripping all over campus for a very long time, almost three years after it came out you could still hear it being played. I would much rather have that song on this cd than beat that b**ch, a song that made me uncomfortable even back in those days, and makes me feel doubly uncomfortable now. It's just such an angry song, hardly what i would call music to have a party to. Despite the oversight of not including Boom, it sounds like it might be a good cd---i wont buy it cause i outgrew my house phase a long time ago--i prefer softer stuff now, but if youre looking for something to take you way back to the carefree days of youth, i suspect this cd might just do the trick.
