excellent focus on diva anthems with few fillers...
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5
Tony Moran gets to the point with this one disc set. The Donna Summer intro is such a tease, but we get more of the song later. Palm Springs is a good dubby warm up that segues into the vocal treat "Illusion", and you could only wish that Tony had let the record spin for more than 4 and a half minutes. "Feel it" has some fierce diva vocal, but overall the song doesn't really go anywhere-but it's only 3 minutes. "Find Myself" is another outstanding diva track---but only 3 minutes! Haru-another great one-but only 4 minutes! But Tony gives plenty of airtime to a couple of his own remixes that follow, the big track Alegria (which actually gets boring fast and never goes anywhere), and the gorgeous "You're So Beautiful" by Donna Summer, the peak moment of this entire mix. Discoteca is a short amount of filler, but it's perfect anticipation for the diva anthem cover of "Let the Sunshine in." Covered more times than I care to count, this played out classic gets such a powerhouse mix from Tony Moran, that it's another one that I wish was longer than 5 minutes! Fiebre is a bit more filler, Rainwater is a dark, moody alternative house track. So Damn Beautiful is reminiscent of Bjork, with slightly better vocals, and is a definite warm down song-and probably should have been the closing song, because the final track, a cover of Sister Sledge's "We are Family" is a nightmare of cheesiness. It's like a scar on a nearly flawless mix. Track times:

1. you're so beautiful intro (:46)
2. Palm spring (3:46)
3. Illusion (4:30)
4. Feel it (3:01)
5. Find myself (3:11)
6. Haru (4:05)
7. alegria (6:31)
8. you're so beautiful (7:42)
9. discoteca (2:37)
10. Let the sunshine in (5:22)
11. Fiebre (3:08)
12. rainwater (6:04)
13. So damn beautiful (6:18)
14. We are family (3:57)

Another awesome Tony Moran mix!

Great CD, my fave song is Benassi Bros' "Illusion." Most of the others are really good too... "You're So Beautiful" by Donna Summer and "Alegria" particulatly. Check it out!
