I needed to sing a song for my audition in school to the Advanced acting class, and I decided that I wanted to sing Dentist from Little Shop of Horrors. I was so excited because I couldn't find the karaoke version of this song on iTunes, but I found it here with just enough time to get it shipped before I actually had to perform with it in class. When I got the CD, I listened to the CD to learn my song, and it was nothing like the actual broadway version! I started to listen to some of the other songs, and I saw that some of the songs had the wrong words and the arrangements were messed up. The arrangement was so bad on the song I was planning to sing that I had to find a whole new song! I would not recommend buying this CD!

I bought this cd based on the other review up here, still skeptical because so often karaoke is poor quality, but this was great. I could easily follow the music based on the broadway cd I already own. We're going to use it in performance, and the quality is perfect. A few of the songs are not on the Broadway revival soundtrack I have, but the vocal tracks on the karaoke cd took care of that.
The description doesn't list "Somewhere That's Green" or "Grow For Me" as being redone without background vocals, but that's because they don't have background vocals to begin with... so keep that in mind when going over the song list. These two tracks are just as perfect as the rest.

I recently produced and directed Little Shop of Horrors at a local theatre. Well, this CD proved to be a miracle. Due to our low budget, we were only going to have a piano player, and then we found this CD- a full orchestra of all the songs we were going to perform. They're note-perfect, up with the tempo, and so easy to work with. The cast could practice with the exact music to be used in the show, rehearsals went much smoother as people could work on their songs at home, and this CD was 1/5 the price of what the piano player would have cost.
If you're planning on performing Little Shop of Horrors, or if you just love the show, buy this CD!!!!
