I would buy this album for the single track - Stronger [Live} is unbelievable... and I usually hate live tracks..

I Love Faith Hill's Music
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
I recently listened to Faith Hill's album "The Hits", although I was reluctant to buy this album because of some negative comments previously posted on Amazon. I really love this album so much that I ordered her first six albums from Amazon. After listening to all her albums, I consider "The Hits" Faith Hill's best album. I recommend this album for anyone who is a Faith Hill fan or anyone who wants to listen to Faith Hill's hit songs.

The album "The Hits" includes ten tracks that were #1 on US Country charts or US Adult Contemporary charts. Of the remaining five tracks, "The Secret of Life" from the album "Faith" was released as a single and was #4 on the US Country charts and the duet with Tim McGraw "I Need You" from Tim McGraw's album "Let It Go" was #8 on the US Country charts and twice nominated at 2008 Grammy Awards for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals and Best Country Song. The track "Stronger" from the album "Cry" was never released as a single to country radio and therefore was not rated on US Country charts. Faith's live performance of "Stronger" on this album is from the Soul2Soul II 2007 tour concert in Atlanta and is much better, more inspiring than the one on her studio album. This leave the two songs on this album that were sung on the Soul2Soul II 2007 tour, "Red Umbrella" and "Lost", which could be considered bonus songs, since they are new releases on this album. "Red Umbrella" and "Stronger" are two of my favorite songs from this album, so they make my "Faith Hill Hit List".

The DVD of "The Hits" replaces the duet with Tim on the CD with her duet with Tim "Just to Hear You Say You Love Me" from the album "Faith", which was #3 on US Country charts.

The Hits
Customer Rating: 3 out of 5
It is a good thing I checked the review section first because I was really hoping to see that the song she did with Tim McGraw ("Like We Never Loved At All") was going to be included on this. Why it wasn't behooves me.
For me? That is how I was musically introduced to their stuff (sorta speak).
I really had no clue who they really were other than just "country singers".
That song is GREAT and I never get tired of hearing it yet, I get the feeling like it's being passed over and I don't understand why.
To me, "Breathe" & "This Kiss" were just OK to me but honestly after a while I thought the songs got played out on the radio.
"Like We Never Loved At All" beats them hands down in my opinion.
I wish they would include the clip of when they sang it together on "Oprah" on "You Tube", (eventually anyway) they kicked ass with it!

I got her new perfume today tho..it rocks!

I'm not a country music fan, but on a recent airline trip, I heard this album on the Delta system, and loved it. Had to have it. A lot of good music. You don't have to be a country fan to love this one!
