I really enjoy this movie, love the acting & the story. But why is this movie be in the so called Gay DVD section!?!
Even the Photo on the DVD cover 'looks like' they're trying to market to the Gay Audience (Another Coming of Age Gay theme movie). a bit misleading, just as the DVD called 'Teenage Angst' I would both movie 'Oh so Dysfunctional Brotherly Love!' NOTHING GAY ABOUT THEM!
I recommend this movie definitely though, a very well produced 'Teenage Wake up Call' Theme with a lot of Violence. Kind of depressing at times but the story is well fimed. OK the Boys are cute!

Why 7 Virgins as a title? It took three viewing for me to figure it out. (you r right, I am not very smart) it is the "holy cards" of the Virgin Mary that one cast members holds. But this as noting to do with the film. Go figure! Release from Juvi jail for his brother's wedding he goes crazy but in the end supports his nervous brother. I rate this a C or C+. Meaning, you really do not need to see this film.
Violence, brief nudity, no sex to speak of and disorganized.

"7 VIRGINS"

Picture This Entertainment is bringing us a wonderful Spanish film, "7 Virgins" which is a new concept in coming-of-age stories.
It is summer in a working-class neighborhood in the south of Spain: Tano, a teenager currently serving a sentence in a juvenile reform center, receives a 48-hour leave to attend his brother's wedding. Together with his best friend, Richi, Tano plans to enjoy his 48-hour pass to the limit, doing all the things he normally can't: drinking, taking drugs, stealing, having sex and hanging out with his buddies. By the end of his 48-hour pass, however, Tano witnesses the collapse of all things he has taken for granted in his life: his neighborhood, his family, his friends and his loved-ones. More than just two days of freedom, Tano's leave turns out to be a journey into maturity.
The film is an energetic and delicate look at youth. Gloriouslly photographed, director Alberto Rodriguez shows us a southern Spanish town in its washed out beauty and the young actors provide a realistic story in a movie that will possibly steal your heart. The film is powerful in all of its aspects. There is a lot of energy here and the Latin music on the soundtrack enhances the plot and keeps things moving. As our hero Tano (Juan Jose Ballesta) searches for integrity, the story moves to a very moving conclusion. The audience moves right along with him.
