We bought this for a christmas gift exchange, and were amazed at how many times it was "stolen". It appears to be very sturdy and has all of the basic tools you would need and also comes with a soft carrying case.

I recently got a great deal on a combo of Leatherman Kick and Micra. I own a couple more Leatherman tools for comparison.
The Kick is large enough for most tasks - the pliers and screwdrivers are of decent size for some serious work. The knife blade is also long enough to be useful. The screwdrivers are long enough for recessed, hard-to-reach screws. The whole tool feels light for its size, and lighter compared to similar sized tools, which makes it easier to carry. I actually like how it does not include unnecessary accessories beyond the necessities: pliers, screwdrivers (incl. Philips), knife, and can/bottle opener.
Some reviews complain about the lock not being solid enough and danger of the blade or screwdrivers closing on your fingers - this can be easily avoided if you close the two halves of the handle after you extend the blade - then if can't close onto your fingers even if the lock fails (you have to play with the tool to visualize this, but it works).
There are also downsides. A minor annoyance is what's called "tool clumping:" when you try to extend one tool, for example the knife, the screwdrivers also try to come out (they kind of stick together) and you have to push them back in. My Leatherman Juice does not have this problem, for example, and most modern tools from good brands are immune to this. The knife is less accessible than on my other multitools or Swiss Army Knives; you have to open the whole tool to get to it. Also, the tool feels less smooth when opening than my other multitools. A couple of drops of oil helped in this regard. Last but not least, all the screwdrivers and the knife have a dull grey finish unlike the more polished look of my other tools and knives, so Kick looks a little cheap. So if you want fancier fit and finish, look at other tools. It would have been great if this tool also included a scissors, file, or saw. There is clearly enough space for one more accessory on the knife side of the handle - look at the Leatherman Blast from the same series for a more complete set of tools.
For the price, the Kick can't be beat. If has all the tools you care about, go for it.

I love this Leatherman, now it doesn't have all the tools like the super but it is very handy. The knife is sharp and design is great, 2 regular screwdrivers are well made and thought out, the Philips is very strong. The bottle/can opener is fine. The best part of this tool is the needle nose/wirecutter/stripper. Very good tolerances and an extremely well built. If you are looking for a good multi tool that is lightweight and at a great price I recommend this tool.

This tool is American made and precision constructed of the best materials. It is light weight with all the tools most likely to be needed on a daily basis. The knife blade was razor sharp and the pliers were of such close tolerances to be used as tweezers. The plastic or nylon inserts inside the handles make the tool much more comfortable on the hand. This is my fourth Leatherman tool. One has been a constant companion on my belt for the last 20 years. I thought this was a good price on the Kick so bought it for a spare.

My wife won't let me buy a more expensive Leatherman, since I've lost the last two that I bought (each $80+). While this one doesn't have *all* the tools that I'm used to; it's still a Leatherman and worth every cent.
